The Pastoral Council is a visioning and planning body of parishioners who foster full participation of the entire parish in the life and mission of the church as lived out in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish. In consultation with the Pastor, the Pastoral Council actively listens to and identifies the needs and concerns of the people and develops a parish pastoral plan to respond to those needs. For more information please contact Pastoral Council Chair.

We are looking for nominations to fill two Pastoral Council positions this December. Please prayerfully consider nominating yourself or a fellow parishioner.

Two currently serving selected members will have their term come to an end in December 2025. The Pastoral Council term follows the calendar year. Beginning the first Sunday of November, nomination forms will be available in the Church gathering area and in the Parish Office. The nomination period ends December 7th.
Persons nominated must be registered parishioners in full communion with the Catholic Church and be 18 years or older. Only one member of a registered family may serve on the Pastoral or Finance Council at any given time. Members shall not be paid parish employees or their family members.
The Pastor, after prayerful discernment, chooses the new members and announces their names on the second Sunday in December.

The Pastoral Council is responsible for the submission of a Parish Plan to the Diocese each year. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Pastoral Council invited parishioners in the spring 2023 to offer suggestions for the preparation of the goals. The Pastoral Council also looked at the context in which the parish functions at the local, diocesan, and national levels, concretely, the process of returning to normalcy after the pandemic; the change in pastoral leadership with the arrival of a new Pastor; the milestone anniversary of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton’s 250 birthday on August 28th, 2024; the welcoming of the gifts and talents that the Hispanic Community brings to the Church; the National Eucharistic Revival; and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Thematic Framework of the 2021-2024 Strategic Plan with priorities and areas of special emphasis.
The proposed goals have been grouped according to the Pastoral Council standing committees for the sake of their implementation. Having done the necessary planning, the Pastoral Council wishes to invite every family in the parish to help in the achievement of the proposed parish goals.
